1995 Umweltpädagogik im Nationalpark Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer, Butjadingen, Germany.

1995-1999 Promotion am Botanischen Garten und Botanischen Museum Berlin (BGBM), Freie Universität Berlin; Titel der Dissertation: “On the phylogeny of the subtribe Carduinae, tribe Cardueae, Compositae”.
